Mediator and psychologist, Dr. Debra Dupree, who is known as the MINDSET Doc, is the Founder and CEO of Relationships at Work, Inc.  Her niche market is workplace mediation and facilitating the interactive process for employees with medical conditions.

Episode highlights include:

- What mediators should know about what happens to employees when there is a lack of “psychological safety.”

- An overview of the three assessments (conflict management styles, emotional intelligence, and communication styles) that Dr. Debra uses in her mediation process to help participants shift their mindsets in preparation for a workplace mediation.

Biography


Debra Dupree

Dr. D is a dynamic and engaged speaker, never failing to excite her audience. She has nearly 30 years of professional experience as an accomplished corporate consultant and keynote speaker.  Companies such as Teradata, Yamaha, Stanford University, Cal Western School of Law, and the Department of Navy have called upon her to “train their trainers” as well as coach leaders at every level around the world.  Debra is a Business Coach and Relationship Consultant delivering leadership solutions to organizations, teams, and individuals. She designs and implements training programs for professional development and guides organizations through strategic change. You won’t be disappointed when Dr. Dupree is leading your group! Nothing but spectacular results flow from her guided interaction! Debra was the former President for the California Association of Rehabilitation & Re-Employment Professionals (CARRP) and former Director of Training for the Mediation Training Institute (MTI). She has over 25 years’ experience facilitating the interactive process and mediating Title VII-related disputes in the federal sector, school districts and community colleges, healthcare and utility industries.

 


Veronica Cravener is a mediator and trainer for Mediate to Achieve, LLC, based in Columbus, Ohio, USA.  She has mediated more than 500 disputes across areas such as landlord-tenant, contracts, consumer-business, personal injury, neighbors, individual disputes over money, and post-employment disputes.  She is experienced at mediating by text message in addition to in-person and telephone mediation.  Active in the dispute resolution community, she previously served as chair of the Columbus Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and has written articles on mediation, including one featured on Mediate.com.  She began her career as a mediator at a local community mediation center and also previously worked in a court-connected mediation role, having previously served as the Small Claims and Dispute Resolution Supervisor at the Franklin County Municipal Court in Columbus, Ohio.  Prior to becoming a mediator, she practiced law.  She earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and her B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
