JAMS ADR Blog by Chris Poole

Richard Birke

In a recent podcast produced by the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ), Richard Birke, executive director of the JAMS Institute, and JAMS neutrals Hon. Frank Maas (Ret.) and Hon. Elizabeth White (Ret.), president elect of the NAWJ, discuss how JAMS has developed a multi-pronged strategy to offer virtual ADR to its clients. JAMS seeks to foster a virtual environment that mimics the efficiency associated with in-person hearings through enhanced security mechanisms, on-demand tech support and the ability of the parties to choose any suitable platform.

In the podcast, Judge Maas and Judge White share their ideas about the effectiveness of virtual ADR, both before the pandemic and now.
