Services Offered
Ms. Allen serves as a neutral ADR service provider. She is retained by legal counsel, the courts, private individuals, closely-held and publicly traded companies, and international ADR provider organizations such as the American Arbitration Assocation, the Institute for Conflict and Dispute Resolution, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (formerly NASD), to serve as a mediator, arbitrator, educator, facilitator , teacher/trainer and conflict systems designer. She is also listed on the CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. Ms. Allen has worked as a mediator and an arbitrator in matters across the world, including services in multi-party, class actions and mass claim employment, securities and insurance disputes.
Ms. Allen also designs and conducts national and international ADR training programs, with a special emphasis on mediation, conflict prevention, management and resolution, civility and negotiation. She is a co-author and trainer of the Award winning 40 hr Basic Mediation Training Program currently offered through the University of Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education. She has written and taught extensively on all aspects of ADR and conflict resolution, offering basic and advanced training programs for advocates, mediators, arbitrators, judges and clients around the world.
Ms. Allen continues to serve as a neutral ADR specialist and as an ADR author, designer, trainer and lecturer. She has expanded the use of her conflict resolution skills and offers services as a systems designer, meeting facilitator and dialogue leader for companies needing structure and assistance in managing internal strategies, long range planning and difficult conversations.
Arbitration Services
Ms. Allen serves as a neutral arbitrator in arbitrations throughout the world. She sits as a solo arbitrator as well as a member of a three or five person arbitrator panel. She is also listed on several specialty, complex panels within the American Arbitration Association, CPR, American Health Lawyers and FINRA. She has adjudicated more than 500 disputes and issued more than 200 Awards/Opinions. Due to the diversity of her experience as an arbitrator, Ms. Allen maintains conversant with the procedural rules of the several Panels on which she serves.
Examples of the subject matters Ms. Allen has addressed as an arbitrator include complex business disputes, business dissolutions, international construction, employment, real estate, securities, health care operations, commissions and covenants not to compete.
Ms. Allen charges by the hour ($550.00) for her services as an arbitrator and a flat fee for any hearing day of $5,000. Travel and out of pocket expenses are additional charges. Ms. Allen is able to offer virtual meetings, mediations and hearings upon request at no additional charge.
